COVID-19 UPDATE
We are very excited to be open once again and welcome our clients back to the Centre. Things look a little different but we are enjoying our program activities and being back at the DLC with our friends! In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have implemented some additional guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of everyone who attends the Dundas Learning Centre. Some of the enhanced measures we have taken to protect our clients and staff are listed below.

While we get used to our new protocols and routines, we have reopened with a smaller number of clients to ensure that we can provide the safest environment possible for everyone.

We have acquired six air purifiers which run all day to remove germs from circulating air. Windows throughout the building are kept open year round

Staff and Clients will complete a Covid self screening at home before coming to the DLC. An additional screening, including a temperature check, will be completed upon arrival. One last screening will be completed after lunch, to make sure no one has developed any symptoms of Covid-19

Clients will be carefully placed in cohorts

Each cohort will remain 6 feet from other cohorts. Physical distancing within cohorts will also be encouraged, when possible

Each client will be strongly encouraged to provide and wear their own mask

Each client will be provided with their own set of classroom tools to avoid sharing supplies

Enhanced cleaning measures have been put into place to ensure proper sanitation of all high touch surfaces

All staff, volunteers and clients are fully vaccinated
